Eugene D. Cifranic died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 81. Born in Trenton he had lived in North Brunswick for the past 50 years. He was a foreman at the Anheuser Busch Yeast Plant in Old Bridge for 25 years before retiring in 1993. Prior to that he had run his own egg and butter delivery service. Mr. Cifranic was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick. He had served as a medic in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Clark Moetz Post #2319 in Milltown. He was a percussionist in a local trio in the 1950s and was an avid golfer.
Surviving are his wife Dorothy (Szarvas) Cifranic; and his daughter Sharon Cifranic of Glen Gardner.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Monday at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Arrangements are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick
