Frances C Barnes was born in Canton, St.Lawrence Co., N.Y. November 22, 1831. She came with her parents to Prescott about 30 years ago were she has resided ever since until her death which occurred Friday morning December 2nd, 1898, after a short illness.
She leaves a brother, Mr. C. L. Barnes of Prescott, two sisters Mrs. A.M. Galpin of Springfield, Mass, and Mrs. A B. Cutting of Gouverneur, N.Y. and immediate relatives to mourn her __. She was laid to rest in Pine Glen Cemetery, Sunday, Dec., 4th Rev. H. Obenhaus officiating. Prescott Journal 12-6-1898
