Bobby Poole, Sr., 80 of 1207 Wake Forest Road passed away peacefully at his home on July 29, 2013.

Bobby was born on February 17, 1933 in Wake County to the late Shirley Poole and Mae Carroll Poole. Bobby honorably served his counry in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. On November 24, 1952 he married the love of his life, Faye Cannon Poole and together they shared a wonderful life of 58 years. Following his time in the Navy, Bobby worked in HVAC for 26 years. He later owned and operated Quality Grocery in the center of the Oakwood Community for over 30 years. He was the last owner of the original Quality Grocery, retiring in 2011. Bobby had a generous and caring nature and gave of his heart, assisting the community in many ways. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Bobby is survived by his loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Roxie P. Hayes and Daniel W. Hayes of Raleigh; grandson, Nicholas Poole and his mother, Gina Poole of Wisconsin; cousin, Joan Pollard of Raleigh, and his beloved dog, Anna.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Cannon Poole; his son Bobby Poole, Jr.; and brothers, Milton, Buddy, Donald and Lathan Poole.
