Born in Doanville, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Leroy Weaver and Elsie Sampson Weaver. She was a retired employee of Athens Mental Health Center and a member of Nelsonville VFW Post 3467 auxillary.
She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Robert (Sue) Newman of Urbana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Bonnie of Nelsonville, and Keith and Ursela of Nurnberg Germany; a brother Kenny Weaver of Nelsonville; eight grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren and a great-grandson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley in 1980.
Services will be held Wednesday, 3 p.m. at Seours Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday after 2 p.m.
