GAMALIEL, Ark. -- Mary Louise Matthews, 74, died July 4, 2008, at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Born July 20, 1933, in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of the late Norval and Vida House Hornback, she was a homemaker and had lived in Gamaliel for 30 years, moving from Sikeston. She was a member of New Life Bible Way Assembly Church in Gamaliel where she was the pianist.

On March 22, 1953, at Sikeston, she married the Rev. Nyman Matthews, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one child, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra and Phil Puckett of Sikeston and Becky and Mike Robbins of Mountain Home; and four grandchildren, Billy and Christie Puckett of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Jamie Puckett of Sikeston and Matthew Robbins of Mountain Home.

Graveside services were conducted at 3 p.m. today at Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Mo., with the Rev. Larry Davis officiating.

Pallbearers were: Billy Puckett, Jamie Puckett, Mike Robbins, Phil Puckett and Johnny Bradley.

Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Mountain Home was in charge of arrangements.
