Our loving mother, grandmother, and friend Beth Vance Lambert returned to her Heavenly Father on August 12, 2013 surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Beth was the third child born to Stewart Vail Vance and Leona Hunt. She was born November 27, 1924 in Brigham City, Utah. She graduated from East High School in 1941 and married the man of her dreams, Norval Hardy Lambert in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children and celebrated 68 years of marriage before Norval's passing on September 12, 2010.

Salt Lake City was always "home" to Norval and Beth. They especially loved their home in East Millcreek, where they resided for 53 wonderful years before moving to St. George, Utah in 2006.

Beth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an extraordinary cook. No matter what time you stopped by she would offer you an ice cold Coke and whip up a gourmet meal. No one was allowed to leave her home hungry.

Beth loved to support her children and grandchildren in everything they were doing. She attended countless sporting events, concerts, recitals and special occasions. She worked hard to build a cabin in Midway, Utah as a gathering place for her posterity as a lasting legacy.

She was a devoted member of the LDS Church and served in numerous callings. Her commitment to living the gospel of Jesus Christ blessed her life and the lives of many around her. The past several years she has struggled with memory loss but she has never forgotten her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her children Gary (Jane) Lambert, Diane (Devon) Pearson, Gae Lambert, and Janene (Jeffrey) Hansen, a brother Kay Christensen, 20 grandchildren, and 60 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Brian Lambert, sister Leda Seabury and brother Rex LaVar Vance.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary on 3401 Highland Drive. Viewing will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Sunrise of Sandy for the loving care they gave "Grandma" during the final days of her life.
