She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Icard and her paternal grandmother, Betty Louise Canipe.
She was a 1991 graduate of Fred T. Foard High School. After graduation, she studied cosmetology and was a dental assistant, member of Blackburn Baptist Church, and was employed by Aptar Group, Inc. of Lincolnton.
Surviving are her former husband, Jason Heavner, of Conover; daughters, Chasity Spake of McGuire Air Force Base, Trenton, N.J., and Carly Heavner of Newton; son, Travis McGalliard of Lenoir; mother and stepfather, Debbie and Danny Miller of Newton; father and stepmother, Billy and Debbie Spake of Hickory; paternal grandfather, Bill Spake, Sr., of Lawndale; sisters, Erica Spake Wallace of Lincolnton, Leah Savastano of Oak Ridge, N.J., and Lauren Huffman of Hickory; brother, Stephen Craig of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews.
