Asa I. Moody, 72, died Monday after being confined to the house only a short time by illness. He was born in Nobleboro, but has lived here about ten years. he was a member of the Baptist church and Germania Lodge I.O.O.F. Mr. Moody's surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Emma Moody; three sons, Percy of Waldoboro, J. Lloyd of Rockport and Irving of Waterville; three daughters, Mrs. Thurlow Flagg of Nobleboro, Mrs. George Furbush of Waterville and Mrs. Irving Eaton of Stratford, Conn., a brother, Elwell Moody of Warren, a sister, Mrs. John Collins, and several grandchildren. Rev. Louis West a former pastor of the local Baptist church, conducted the funeral services which were held at his late home Thursday afternoon. Interment was made in the Rural Cemetery.
