Henry Howard, 84, of 123 Washington, Westville, died at 4:50 a.m. Dec 14, 1979 at the VA Medical Center in Danville. He had resided in Westville for the past 5 years an formerly resided in the Himrod Community east of Westville.
Born Aug 12, 1895 in Georgetown, he was the son of William and Mary Dunavon Howard, He was married Oct 22, 1919 to Ivy Stevens who survives.
He was a veteran of WW I. He had been employed for 27 years at the former Hegeler Zinc Plant and had been a maintenance man at the Poly Clinic in Danville. He was a member of the Morey Chapel Church.
Survivors also include sons Donald of Oak Park, Gene of Peoria, and Robert of Plainfield, IN and a daughter Mrs. Mary Madeline White of Danville and 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Urbas Funeral Home in Westville. Burial will be at McKendree Cemetery
