SURE WISH WE could add him, I used to have him but I was TOLD!
not to because it was not TRUE................https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fields-3726
Disputed Origins: "A Cherokee woman, Susannah Emory, and Richard Fields were previously listed as the parents of Susannah Maness. Their actual daughter Susannah was born about 1780-- almost 20 years after Susannah Maness. The Cherokee Susannah married two white men, George Brewer and Thomas Foreman and was the mother of 15 children, born between 1800 and 1826.[1] [2] The Foreman family was removed to Indian Territory in 1838 over the Trail of Tears in a detachment led by Hair Conrad and Susannah's husband Thomas Foreman.

Susannah Fields Maness was a much older woman born almost 20 years before the birth of the daughter of Susannah and Richard, above. She appears to be the wife of Revolutionary War soldier Seth Manis, DAR Ancestor # A073377. Seth's pension application, filed from Tennessee, does not name a wife or children. DAR records list wife "Patsy" and several children, born in North Carolina between 1780 and 1800.

Because I have had a request from a couple of descendants that Gramma Patsy was born in Moore County, North Carolina I will change her state of birth from Virginia.

And, Susan can be short for Susannah, which looks like her mother's name also.

Susannah was our 5x great gramma...

As per several rootsweb.com TREES her parents were:
Richard Fields B: 1740 Cherokee Nation East, Bradley TN
D: 8 May 1827 Nacogdoches, TX
Susannah Emory B: 1745 Cherokee Nation East Nation, TN
Notice she went back to Cherokee Nation after her husband passed.
All the family trees say they were both Cherokee
