She was born at Byers the daughter of Alva J. and Lydia J.Swafford Cox Shriver. She graduated from Byers High School. She was a resident of Dodge City since the late 40s. She worked at Dillons Food Store and Ford County ASCS office. From 1962 to 1993 she worked at Dodge City Medical Center, retiring as an administrative assistant.
She belonged to First Christian Church,Dodge City.
Survivors include son, Greg of Decatur,GA; two daughters, Kathy Taylor and Gwen Pendergast both of Dodge City; brother Clifford Cox of Cararillo,Calif; two sisters, Lucille Lewis and Faye McMannis both of Pratt,KS; two grandsons and a great grandson.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
