Mr. McKinney Buried

The residence of R. A. McKinney in Leasure avenue was filled to overflowing Thursday afternoon when funeral services were held over the remains of his father, the late Andrew McKinney, whose death occurred in the hospital in this city. Many friends from this city and from Plaingrove where he formerly resided, and from other places, gathered to pay a last tribute of respect to a man in universal esteem. Rev. Van Eman of Clarksville, his pastor for the last quarter of a century, conducted the services, and was assisted by Dr. S. F. Hershey of the First Presbyterian church and Rev. S. C. Gamble of the Second U. P. church. The casket was banked with beautiful flowers. Music was rendered by a quartet by from the Second U. P. church of this city. Friday morning the remains were taken to Plaingrove, where the interment took place in the U. P. cemetery at 11 o'clock. Rev. Shoemaker conducting the services. The pallbearers were Kinney, William and Harry C. Offutt, Frank McKinney, John Offutt and Jay Burns.
