Elizabeth "Betsy" Green was the daughter of Amos Green and Elizabeth Searcy (both buried at the Green (Amos) Cem., Ball Ground, Cherokee Co., NC); she had the following siblings: Mary "Polly," Amelia Emily "Milly," Dr. Jesse Lovask; Richard, Eleanor "Nelly,: Sarah 'Sallie," William Washington, Jonathan, Andrew Jackson, Oliver P., Nancy, and Lemuel Green.

She married on the 19 Mar 1824 in Rutherford Co., NC, Andrew Maxwell Jr.
