Amelia was born November 20, 1851 in Union County, Pa., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Musser. She was married to Samuel Long in 1873. A year late (1874) they moved to the Bellevue, Ohio area. She had resided here until seven or eight years ago. After which time she took up residence with her daughter, Mrs. C. E. (Ella May) Haskell, in Maumee, Ohio.

Surviving are the daughter at whose home her death occurred, an adopted son, Bert Long, of Bellevue, and two brothers, I. Wilson Musser, Mt. Pleasant and Nathan Musser, Bellevue, two granddaughters, Breta Haskell Wilcox and Esther Haskell Houghton, and three great-grandchildren, Donald H. Houghton, Emo Jean Houghton, and Wilma E. Wilcox.

Funeral services were held at Maumee, Ohio, March 21, 1927. The body was taken to Leipsic, Ohio for burial.
