Aaron served as a private in Company D 147th Illinois Infantry during the Civil War

I don't have a marriage date for his first marriage to Abby Jane Whitelaw. They were together on the US 1880 Census in Dunbar, Faribault, Minnesota. He was 37 and she was 27. So maybe they got married before that. I know they got married in Fairbault County.

She died in 1912, and he remarried to Lucy Lucretia Raymond, who first married Thomas Holt Critchlow (1841-1892), and then married John W Patrick (1853-1907). Aaron married Lucy in 1916 in Ada County, Idaho, when he was 73 and she was 62.
