Born John Thomas Allison on June 6 1836 In Fauquier County Virginia he was the son of Martin Allison & Elizabeth Rowley. He Enlisted in Company H, Virginia 6th Cavalry Regiment on 14 Sep 1862.Mustered out on 24 Mar 1864. On the 29 Oct 1868 in Fauquier County Virginia he Artemesia "Mazey" Kirkpatrick after her death he remarried on the 3rd of July 1879 to Mary Jane Jarmans . He was survived by his wife Mary Jane as well as many children.
