He was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee, and had been a resident of Cunningham most of his life. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cunningham.
Survivors: wife, of the home; sons, Gilbert of Larned, Verlin of San Antonio, Robert of Bellevue, Wash.; daughters, Thelma Elder of Carson, Calif., Elma Seachris of Wichita; brothers, Paul of Brookville, Simon of Luray, Jerome of Hutchinson; sisters, Hilda Murray, Elizabeth Heronime, Katherine Urban, all of Hays; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father David O’Leary. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday, Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.
Memorials may go to the church or to St. Francis Oncology, St. Francis Hospital.
