Owen Smith, 52, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 7, 1951 at Owen, after a lingering illness of several years.

Funeral services were held at the Myre Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 10th, with the Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiating. Burial was made in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Ray Prior and Donna Mae Gotter sang, "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Pallbearers were Hastings Baird, Greenwood; Emil Henninger, Granton; Paul Young, Del Anderson and Adolph Voigt, Loyal, and Julius Schroder, Spencer.

Mr. Smith was born Oct. 10, 1898 at Loyal. He was married to Lavina Tietsch Oct. 19, 1920.

He attended the Loyal public school and farmed in the Loyal vicinity until his illness in 1935.

Relatives and friends from away who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schnoor, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tietsch, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Schnoor, all of Owen; Lee Smith, Fifield; Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Henninger, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Henninger, Granton; Mrs. Al Bietzinger, Mrs. Frank Makal Jr. of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale E. Smith, Port Washington.
