Francis lived his entire life on the family farm, located between Ostrander and Grand Meadow. He graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1975 and continued to farm with his parents.
He had been active in Future Farmers of America at Grand Meadow High School before graduation. He had been the club reporter and had gone to the National FFA convention in Kansas City, MO in 1975.
He loved raising hogs and his mother stated they were about to turn the hog operation over to him.
He is survived by his Parents, Melvin and Loura, three sisters Linda (Wes) Etheridge of Belleview IA, Patricia of Minneapolis, MN and Lynette at home. Paternal grandmother Evelyn (Crawford) Kilbourn, and maternal grandparents George and Gladys (Reckhard) of Duncombe IA.
A loved brother and son is missed and remembered with love.
