Son of Affra Pettit Rees and Franklin Joshua Rees, of Coalville, Utah. His parents later had another son, Robert P. Rees, who survives him. He attended North Summit High School and the University of Utah. He met his wife, Wilmith Juluson Rees in high school and was later sealed to her in the LDS Temple. He continued to court her for more than 64 years. The couple had one son, Dr. Frank M. Rees, and two grandchildren. Mr. Rees worked as a foreman for Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego, California during World War II, producing Allied war planes. He later worked for the Rio Grande Railroad as an engineer, and managed several automobile dealerships. His honest approach to the sale of automobiles earned him many loyal repeat customers and national awards; three times being the sales leader in the Western Region for the Buick Division of General Motors.
Born July 18, 1920, died December 28, 1997 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.
