DEATH OF JAMES SIM End Came Last Evening at the Home of His Son on Summit Street- James SIM died at 8:30 o'clock last night at the home of his son J.W. SIM of No. 138 Summit street, after a short illness from general debility, aged 84 years. Mr. SIM was a native of Scotland and had lived in Canada fifty years, coming to Batavia about seven months ago. Besides his widow and son, with whom he lived, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Fred LEWIS and Mrs. George S. SCRINNER of Rochester, Mrs. George STROHM of Charlotte, Mrs. Samuel PALMER of Waller, Ont., and Mrs. Edward COX of Colburn, Ont. The remains were taken at 6:29 a.m. today to his former home at Colburn, where the funeral will be held at the home of this daughter at 3:30 tomorrow. Published The (Batavia)Daily News, 28 June 1902
