Mary Lipinski, 94, of 3201 N. Fifth St., died Monday at home.

Surviving are a daughter, Ceil Reha of Youngstown, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Born in Poland to Jozefa Jarocka and her first husband, Pawel Bojnarowski.

Mary came to the US in 1906 with her mother, step-father (Jan Sawicki), sisters (Stella & Victoria) and half-siblings (Adolph, William and Lottie); they settled in Throop, PA. Two half-sisters, Anna and Sophia, were born in the US.

Her step-father Jan was killed in a coal-mining accident in 1913.

Mary married Jan ("John" / "Jack") Lipinski, and they had two daughters, Anna and Ceil.

The Lipinski family resided at 238 Bellman St., in Throop.

Husband John was killed in a mining accident on Jan. 12, 1945, having been struck by falling rocks.

Mary then moved to Harrisburg, where her daughter Anna was living.
