Ethel C. Lassiter COLERAIN
Ethel Congleton Lassiter, 86, of the 2700 block of NC 45 South, died July 14, 2005, in Guardian Care of Ahoskie. Mrs. Lassiter was a native of Hertford County and a member of Christian Harbor Baptist Church. She retired as a nursing assistant at Roanoke Chowan Hospital and was the widow of Paul Franklin Lassiter Sr. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria L. Davis and husband Cecil of Colerain; three sons, James Franklin Lassiter and wife Audry of Raleigh, Thomas Ray Lassiter and wife Karen of Charleston, S.C., and Paul Franklin Lassiter Jr. and wife Shirley of Richmond, Va.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at Christian Harbor Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Hugh Mizelle officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the home of Gloria and Cecil Davis, 113 Britton St., Colerain. Memorial donations may be made to Christian Harbor Baptist Church, Harrellsville, NC 27942 or to University Health Systems Hospice Care, 521 W. Myers St., Ahoskie, NC 27910.
