Robert Allan, 84 year old Pinckneyville resident, died Monday in St. Andrews Hospital in Murphysboro, after a short illness. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.

He was born in Old Du Quoin in 1870. He was a retired locomotive engineer for the ICRR Company.

He was married to Johanna Paulus, who preceded him in death about three years ago.

Allan was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Murphysboro.

Burial in the Murphysboro City Cemetery.
