Evon Cook was born July 20, 1942 to Irene Pitts and Fermon Ivan Cook in Conroe, Texas. She went home to be with the Lord February 16, 2013. She grew up in Conroe, Texas and attended Conroe High School. She was married to Glenn Arlyn Brown June 6, 1959.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. She was known for her delicious Apricot Strudel that she often took as a thank you gift to friends. She was a faithful Christian and greatly enjoyed attending Graeber Road Church of Christ in Rosenberg. She was known for her great sense of humor and love of making others laugh. Evon was a loving sister, wife, mother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Frances.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital, Houston, TX that was where their daughter had surgeries as a child. Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Houston ,6977 Main Street, Houston, TX 77030-3701.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 5-8 PM at Cashner Funeral Home, Conroe, Texas. Funeral will be 3 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, TX.
