~*~ My heartfelt gratitude to Debra Graves Dawson, for sponsoring Michael's memorial. Your kindness touches my heart ~*~
He was so kind, and try to help everyone he met. He fell in love with a beautiful lady named Star, they married and had a very special life between them. Star was always behind Michael in everything. She was his rock . Michael loved coming out to visit us in the country. He loved the outdoors, I remember all the fun times when we would go to the creek, and try to find tadpoles. We would have cook outs, fish and lots of laughter. He loved sitting on the porch, just chatting about how we all grew up, how life was good, and without God, he wouldn't sure if he could make it. Michael was an employee of ECM in Louisville. He had bought some land in Green County, and was planning to move closer to us all. He was preceded in death by his Mother Ruth "Carolyn" Dickens and one sister Shannon Davis. Michael is survived by his wife, Star Duncan Carter; two sons, one brother, eight grandsons and one granddaughter, and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). Funeral Ceremony will be held Thursday at 12:30 pm at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Gowan Cemetery in Green County, Ky.
