She later married Charles Emmett Hamilton on 02 February 1973 at Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.

During her life, Florence was also called “Pat.” Florence owned and operated many businesses to include the Coffee Thyme Truck Stop in Topeka, and the Airport Cafe in Manhattan, Kansas.
