ADAMS - Helen Mary, 73, of East Taylor Township, passed away on April 17, 2006, at Windber Hospice. She was born Jan. 12, 1933, in Chest Springs, Pa., daughter of William J. and Marie M. (Cretin) Plunket. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Ann Bowmaster and Florence Plunkett; and a baby brother, Leonard. Survived by loving husband of 50 years, James A.; children, Darlene, wife of Michael Mayer, Johnstown; Marlene, wife of Terry Connelly, Indiana, Pa.; Kevin, married to the former Teresa Mesaros, East Taylor Township; Perry, Johnstown; and Lisa, wife of Matthew Hagerich, East Taylor Township; grandchildren, Adam, Amy and Michael Mayer; Clerissa and Janell Connelly; Tabitha, Kayla and Tasha Adams; Kara, Morgan and Rebecca Hagerich; siblings, Coletta Scali, Ohio; George (Mary) Plunkett, Blairsville; Lillian (Harry) Gilbert, Ohio; Esther (Bernard) Zabinski, Tipton; Thomas (Cheryl) Plunkett, Duncansville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking delicious meals, along with gardening, but most of all spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229 First St., Conemaugh, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:45 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Robert C. Hall. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Family suggests memorial contributions may be directed to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963, in memory of Helen.
