Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 18, 1998 at the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.
OBITUARY: "Trudy" Adams
Gertrude Rowe Adams, the daughter of Dr. Edward and Sarah (Harper) Rowe, was born at Utica, Nebraska, on November 4, 1906, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 15, 1998, at the age of 91 years, 10 months, and 11 days.
She grew up at Lincoln, Nebraska, where she attended Lincoln Public Schools, and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
On September 10, 1930, she was united in marriage to Charles F. Adams at Lincoln. They made their home in Aurora, where he was a practicing attorney at law. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1980. On February 10, 1992, she entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Trudy was a member of the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ, belonged to P.E.O., the Aurora Chapter of Eastern Star, and the Delta Gamma Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter Sara Jane Gilliland.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son, The Rev. James R. Adams of Cambridge, Massachusetts; her daughter Ruth Ciranni of San Mateo, California; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
