We regret to learn as we are preparing to go to press of the death of Mr. Melzar Cochran at the home of his brother, John Cochran, near this city. He passed away Tuesday night after a long illness. He was for years an efficient deputy sheriff and jailer, and made a host of friends while a resident of our city.
