CALDWELL — Stephen F. Bow, 86, of Nampa, route 5, a retired farmer, died early Saturday morning in his home.
Mr. Bow was born Sept. 13, 1872, in Bow, Ky., and was reared in Kentucky. He was married Aug. 13, 1891, in Bow to Ellen Rush and they lived in White Wright, Texas, for several years. They moved to her home of Berkesville, Ky., before coming to Caldwell in 1911. He farmed in the Marble Front community for many years. He operated the bus depot in Caldwell from 1927 to 1929 and managed the Waldorf Cigar store here from 1929 until his retirement in 1950. Mrs. Bow died Oct. 2, 1956. He attended the Church of the Brethren in Nampa.
Surviving are two sons, John Bow of Caldwell, route 3, and La Fayette Bow of Lakefork, Idaho; four daughters, Mrs. Winifred Wagoner of Caldwell, Mrs. Irene Lowe of St. Maries, Mrs. Fay De Monnin of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Ruth Corbelt of Parma, and 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Carrie Shore, preceded him in death.
The Peckham-Dakan-Davis chapel is arranging services.
