Married second, Jan. 30, 1778, Mary Roby,daughter of Rev. Joseph Roby.
They had one daughter, Rachel, one son, Lemuel.
Of his Revolutionary service, in addition to that of April 19, 1775, he was commissioned as lieutenant in Captain John Poole's 2d company, 1st Essex County regiment, April 26, 1776. It is doubtful whether he saw active service after the 19th of April, 1775.
His will was admitted to probate October 13, 1806, and he is buried in the old Saugus cemetery, where a marble gravestone and a bronze marker of the S. A. R. were erected at his grave in 1903.
