Clara Ida (Lauerman) Wingfield, age 95 of Stromsburg, NE died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Stromsburg. She was born September 1, 1918 in York, NE to Edward M. and Josephine (Lottes) Lauerman.
On February 15, 1944 she was united in marriage to Warren Stanley and four children were born to this union. On October 7, 1960 she was married to Donald Wingfield and one daughter was born.
Clara lived in Seattle, WA for forty five years and was a member of St. Edward Church. She was active in St. Cabrini Guild. She spent her remaining years with Don in Stromsburg. She loved gardening and working in her abundant flower beds and vegetable garden.
She is survived by sons: Dean Wingfield of Seattle, WA, Ron Wingfield of Tukwila, WA and Bill and his wife Linda Stanley of Tukwila, WA; daughters Linda and her husband Frank Jamali of LaHainia, HI and Donna Wingfield of San Leandro, CA; grandchildren Mark Jamali of Santa Barbara, CA, Todd Stanley of Seattle, WA and Melissa Stanley and her husband Rob McMonigle of Federal Way, WA; great grandchildren Connor, Riley, and Piper McMonigle all of Federal Way, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, four brothers and four sisters.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, September 20, 2013 at Metz Chapel. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, York. Cremation, no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to York Adopt-A-Pet.
