She was born August 23, 1917, in Gans, OK, to Robert and Dora Bethel Burchett. She grew up in Oklahoma City.
She lived in Midwest City and worked at Tinker Field until her retirement. She and James T. McDonald were married in 1939 in Drumright, OK. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She moved to Sulphur in 2000. She loved to travel, gardening, baked beautiful cakes for her family, and did beautiful needlework.
She is survived by 2 brothers, Bob Burchett of Havasu City, AZ, Andy Burchett of Topak, AZ; and 2 sisters, Lois Jones of Edmond, Ruby Colbert of Sulphur;, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK, under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home, Sulphur.
