He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
Walter was a licensed Amateur Radio Operator (AB8LF) and a member of the Goodyear Amateur Radio Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna, and is survived by his wife of 46 years, Charlotte; sons, Walter Minko Jr. and David (Kris J.) Minko; sisters, Alice Landmesser, Ann Sam, and Stella Sanker; grandsons, Jack, Grant, and Clark; special friends, Loren Manning and Paul Falb; and special thanks to Mrs. Quackenbush.
