Lyman Peck and his wife, Cynthia (Steele) Peck are believed to be interred within Stevens Cemetery; however, the McDonough Historical Society could find no records that support this belief. His cousin's, Aaron PECK's, headstone survives intact in this same cemetery. The photographs of the two markers were taken in 2014.

Lyman Peck is a lineal descendent (on his mother's side) of both John Tilley and John Howland, who arrived in America aboard the Mayflower in 1620. Both of his ancestors signed the Mayflower Compact of 1620.
