Ms. Dorothy Parker Leonard, age 79, of Archdale died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM, September 28, 2013 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Jonah Parker and Rev. Eddie Tharpe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Leonard was born July 13, 1934 in Wilkes County to Flate and Amanda Tedder Parker. She retired from T. J. Maxx and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Michael Leonard and a brother, Eugene Parker.
She is survived by: one daughter, Patsy Johnson and husband, Tim of Archdale; one son, Jerry Leonard and wife, Denny of Daleville, VA; three sisters, Margaret Harris of Denton, Mabel Church and husband, Max of Elkin, Gwendolyn White and husband, John of Moravian Falls; one brother, Andrew Parker and wife, Gayle of Moravian Falls; sister-in-law, Rosa Nell Parker of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Scott Johnson, Lisa Norris, Grant Leonard, Brooke Leonard; three great, grandchildren, Taylor Johnson, Victoria Norris and Tillon Norris.
