T-MAMOU---------------Funeral services of Roman Klumpp, 82, will be held at 3p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at St. Jules Catholic Church. Father Don Leger will officiate. Burial will be in Klumpp Cemetery under the direction of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held until 10 p.m. today, March 31, and from 8 a.m. until time of services Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Klumpp died at 4:05 a.m. today at the Jennings American Legion Hospital in Jennings. A native of T-Mamou, he was a member of St. Jules Catholic Church, past president of Nezpique Gas Company of T-Mamou, member of the Evangeline Council of the Knights of Columbus and was a rice and soybean farmer for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Effie LeJeune Klumpp; two sons, Harold Dean Klumpp and Donavon R. Klumpp, Sr.; five daughters, Mrs. Ray
( Audrey ) Young, and Mrs. Leo ( Gertie) Benoit both of T- Mamou, Ramona Klumpp of Lafayette, Mrs. Jonike ( Lovie ) Henderson of Porter, Texas and Mrs.Donnie ( Sandra ) Simar of Evangeline; one brother, J.C. Klumpp of T-Mamou; six sisters, Marie Fish of Houston, June Wood of Mississippi, Laura Hoffpauir of Bubdick Lake, Nike Francois, Cleo Leger, and Lucy Guillory of T-Mamou ; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren
