Phyllis Jensen, known as "Jean" Jensen, age 79 of Imlay City, MI, and formerly of Brown City, MI, died June 12, 2010. She was born Phyllis Evans, on April 16, 1931 in Brown City to Vern Evans and Beatrice Evans. Jean graduated from Brown City High School Class of 1955. She was married to Charles Thomas Benedict and later she married Ray Jensen.
A banker Jean worked for Brown City Savings Bank for 10 years and then for a brief time worked in real estate and insurance. She worked for Xplorer Motor Homes for 10 years and returned to banking working at National City Bank in Imlay City until she retired. Jean was a member of North Goodland Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for several years.
She was survived by a son Mick (Vicky) Benedict, Brown City, 2 grandchildren Katie Benedict and Kelly (Kurt) Wisniewski, a stepsister Ruth Ann Parks and a sister in law Beverly Evans and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and a granddaughter Jenifer Benedict.
