Graduated in 1919 from Antigo, Langlade County WI high school. His yearbook said this about him: "As a fellow among fellows Charlie is irresistible, if friends were diamonds he would be a millionaire. There is a reason. He has "personality plus." He will long be remembered as one of the High school's real athletes. As juniors, he was our leader, carrying us through it's many social activities with flying colors."

Charles Emmet Wall appears in a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity photo as a freshman at the University of Wisconsin in the 1923 Badger yearbook. His brother Arthur is also in the same photo as a member of the junior class.

At age 30, Charlie was found as an intern in a hospital at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown OH in the US Census for 1930. His name can be found on many Manitowoc WI death records as the chief medical officer for the county.

When I located Charlie's son Tom, he told me that Charlie was the Health Commissioner of Manitowoc (health officer). From time to time he had to close beaches down at Lake Michigan if people were dumping raw garbage. He would also have to close schools down because of polio contagion.

Charlie was known to everyone in Antigo. He and his wife had a number of children, who still survive him.
