Caroline Faye Zwelling, 64, of Salina, Kan., formerly of Grand Island, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at her home following a long bout with cancer.
Memorial services were on Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Salina. The Rev. Leroy H. Pralle will officiate. Private family inurnment will be on Tuesday at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. The Rev. H.B. Schutte of Grand Island will officiate.
Mrs. Zwelling was born on Aug. 29, 1934, near Palmer to George H. and Alma W. (Hake) Kamper. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and Grand Island Senior High.
She married Ronald E. Zwelling on Feb. 19, 1955, in Yuma, Ariz.
The couple lived in San Diego until Mr. Zwelling's discharge from the U.S. Navy. They lived at North Platte, Ogallala, Lincoln and Sidney before moving to Kansas.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Robert E. of Edgewater, Md.; three daughters, Karen (Mrs. Richard) Luvender of Colby, Kan., Linda (Mrs. Randy) Doke of Wray, Colo., and Janet (Mrs. Roger) Jensen of St. Francis, Kan.; six grandchildren; her mother, of Grand Island; and four sisters, Maxine (Mrs. Jay) Williams and Grace (Mrs. Herbert B.) Schutte, both of Grand Island, Jeannine Shafer of North Platte and Phyllis Gates of Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, George; and one sister, Betty Morgan.
