George H. Kamper, 71, of 115 South Walnut, died at his home this morning. He was born May 23, 1897 in St. Libory, Neb.
He was raised on a farm near St. Libory and had lived in the Grand Island area until 1963 when he moved to North Platte.
He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Laymen's League.
Survivors include his wife, Alma; one son, George, Jr. Grand Island; six daughters, Mrs. Ed (Maxine) Sedlacek; Mrs. Walter (Grace) Thompson; Mrs. Kenneth (Jeannine) Shaffer; Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Gates and Mrs. Ronald (Caroline) Zwelling, all of North Platte and Mrs. Betty Ahrens, Portland, Ore; three brothers, Albert, Central City; Herman, Grand Island, and Fred, Loveland, Colo; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace Heald, Central City and Mrs. Al Case, Poulsbo, Was, 34 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.....Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens....
