John Kamper Dies Suddenly in Arizona -

John Kamper died last Sunday morning suddenly at Phoenix, Ariz. He and Mrs. Kamper had flown to Arizona last Fri. on account of his health. His body arrived here early this morning. The Greenway ambulance met the train at Kearney....

John A. Kamper was born November 13, 1902 in Merrick County, Nebraska.

On March 16, 1926 he was united in marriage to Millie Kunze in Palmer, Nebraska. Jack was a barber in Palmer for many years and during World War II he moved to Grand Island and then to Hastings where he worked in the Navy Depot. In 1948 he returned to Palmer where he opened a Gambles Store, which he operated until the first of this year, when he retired due to ill health.

Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his loss two sons, Jack and William of Hastings; four brothers, Fred of Archer, Herman of Grand Island, George of Portland, Oregon, Albert of Central City; and two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Minnie) Mick of Poulsbo, Washington and Mrs. Wallace (Helen) Heald of Central City.
