ANNIE WUNDERLICH
(1878 - 1909)

Death Saturday evening from over-exertion at the young age of 30, of Mrs. Charles Wunderlich, wife of the well-known barber on Main Street.

After doing her wash Monday Mrs. Wunderlich tried to move the heavy washing machine to one side. By lifting it alone, apparently, she sustained an internal injury. Because she experienced no further pain she said nothing more to her husband after the incident. On Friday her condition worsened. The doctor who was summoned gave the sad news that she was suffering from internal blood poisoning (Blutvergiftung) and there was no hope for recovery.

The death is especially sad because she leaves her sorrowing husband with 4 small children without a mother, the oldest of whom is 8 years and the youngest less than a year. She is also survived by her sorrowing mother, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning from St. Boniface Church.
