Religious services at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, conducted by the Rev. Calvin Spears. Burial in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Survived by husband, John M. Dawson, St. Francisville; a daughter, Doretha Willis Thompson, Baton Rouge; an aunt, Annette Williams, Zachary; a sister, Doretha Jones, New Orleans; two brothers, the Rev. Clarence Jones, Compton, Calif., and Warren Jones, Denver, Colo.; five grandsons, John Curtis, Darrel and Illya "Buff" Thompson, all of Baton Rouge, Charles Thompson, Germany, and Gregory C. Thompson, Fort Knox, Ky.; 10 great-grandchildren; six godchildren; four sisters-in-law; and five granddaughters-in-law. Preceded in death by parents, Thomasand Dora Bailey Jones; and a sister, Gloria Jones. She was a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church more than 50 years, a member of the Senior Choir, Order of Eastern Star Pride of St. Francisville Chapter 12 and P.B.S. Pinchback Daughters of Elks Temple No. 1107. She was a delegate of the West Feliciana Parish Fourth District Ministers Association.
