Born in Curry, April 27, 1904, he was the son of the late Alexander and Charlott [sic] (Pomeroy) Alverson. He was a member of the Adonia Lodge, F. and A.M., Highland.
Mrs. Alverson is survived by his wife, the former Nellie Bach; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Baden, Webster; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Ingles, Rhinebeck; and Mrs. Nora Hollyday, West Hurley; two grandchildren: an aunt, Mrs. Henry Dreiser, Kingston; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Pine Funeral Home Inc., Main Street. The Rev. Roy Hassell will officiate. Burial will be in the New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m.
