FRAMINGHAM Deborah Long, 56, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at her home. Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William J. and Vivian (Sansoucy) Long. A graduate of Elizabeth Seton High School in Wellesley with the Class of 1969, she also graduated from Westbrook College in Westbrook, Maine, with a degree in nursing. A registered nurse for many years, Deborah worked as a surgical nurse at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Newton-Wellesley Hospital and at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She later worked as an instructor for the former Sudbury Pines Nursing School before retiring. Deborah enjoyed raising and caring for her three golden retrievers. She leaves a brother, Richard W. Long of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a niece, Christina Long; a grand-nephew, Robert Billsten; an aunt, Lynn Dean, and three dear friends, Marguerite Hopkins, Claire Donohue and Gail Rattuci. There will be a visiting hour Friday, April 18, from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at Boyle Brothers Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Medical Missions for Children, c/o Claire Donohue, 54 Turtle Rock Road, Windham, NH 03087.
