Katie Marie Lowery, 81, of Gallatin died Nov. 16, 2011. Funeral services were Nov. 19 at Alexander Funeral Home with Father Stephen Gideon officiating. Interment followed in Sumner Memorial Gardens with Butch Isaacks, Tim Doughtie, Barry Perry, Roland Pena, Richard Stewart and Jeff Wynn serving as pallbearers.
She was born in Bethpage, Tenn., on Oct. 15, 1930, daughter of the late George and Emma Sullivan Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis W. Lowery; son, Andy Lowery; daughter, Elizabeth Levy; brothers, George, Barney, Paul "Jr." and Harry Carter; and sisters, Oma Del Troutt and Rosie Ferguson.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Herman of Gallatin, Judy Lowery of Gallatin, Kathy (Bob) Somerville of Rosenberg, Texas, Joey (Katherine) Lowery of Fresno, Texas and Monica (Butch) Isaacks of Iola, Texas; brother, James (Josephine) Carter of Gallatin; grandchildren, Eddie, Greg and Jeff Herman, Michelle (Roland) Pena, Michael (Cherry) Poirier, Katie Armbruster, Kristen (Tim) Doughtie and David Isaacks; great-grandchildren, Nicky, Joey, and Isabella Pena, Alina Poirier and Addison and Ansley Doughtie.
