Margaret was the daughter of Abraham D. Montanye and Ann Betts of Williamsburgh (now part of Brooklyn), New York. She was married to John W. Titus, the son of Edward Titus and Catherine DeNyse of Williamsburgh. Margaret was a milliner, working in Brooklyn at 249 Grand Ave. She made a will dated 17 March 1886 and proved 10 May 1888. She and John had four known children. Their graves are not marked.
