SOPHIE C. POLEY, 77, of Absecon died Wednesday at her residence.
She was born in Dividing Creek and was an Absecon resident since 1981. She previously lived in Pleasantville.
Surviving are four sons, Clarence, Richard, both of Pleasantville, Harry of Linwood, and Joseph of Cantonment, Fla.; four daughters, Evelyn Brandenberger of Absecon, Vera Taggart of Pleasantville, Stella Yates Sciuto of Atlantic City, and Dorothy Arcement of Molino, Fla.; a brother, Paul Robbins of Glassboro; three sisters, Josephine Jackson of Hibbing, Minn., Marion Rice of Somers Point, and Martina Lutz of Penns Grove; 28 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home, Northfield. Burial will be in Germania Cemetery, Galloway Township. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Mainland Baptist Church, Absecon Highlands.
